In 2022, the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO) set out on a bold mission to create readily accessible clinical pathways in radiation oncology that offered more granular detail than currently-available multidisciplinary resources, but also offered a real-world understanding of the value of given approach to treatment. That started ACROPath®, and this week, ACRO has published the first of the ACROPath publications, ACROPath Oligometastases: The American College of Radiation Oncology Clinical Pathway.

This is the first-of-its-kind guidance on how to approach patients with oligometastatic disease using radiotherapy. It offers both site-of-metastasis guidance as well as guidance on treatment based on the origin of the metastases. Additional works on other sites of disease are forthcoming and will similarly offer ACRO members timely, up-to-the-minute understandings of optimal approaches to treatment.

This first iteration of ACROPath® Oligometastases represents one of the few comprehensive clinical decision support tools available for managing patients with limited metastatic disease.
