The following is a message from Dr. Luther Brady Foundation President Dr. Steven Finkelstein:

Dear Colleagues and Friends of Radiation Oncology,

As 2025/2026 President of the Dr. Luther Brady Foundation, I invite you to join us in supporting the next generation of radiation oncology professionals, and in honoring the extraordinary legacy of Dr. Luther W. Brady.

Dr. Brady was one of the world’s foremost radiation oncologists and the founding president of the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO). His decades of leadership, innovation, and commitment to excellence helped shape the field as we know it today. The Foundation exists to carry forward his vision: to expand the effectiveness of radiation therapy and to foster the growth of trainees, residents, and young clinicians who will carry that mission into the future.

Through your generosity, the Foundation is able to fund critical initiatives and opportunities, including: Educational and research grants for residents and medical students (such as Dr. Luther Brady Educational Grants and ACRO Seed Grants) Scholarships and elective opportunities, including travel grants for attendance at the annual Radiation Oncology Summit (ACRO’s annual meeting) Support for publication opportunities through CURiE, ACRO's publication through the Cureus Journal of Medical Science Mentorship, professional-development programs, and quality-improvement projects

Each donation - large or small - helps open doors for future radiation oncologists. As we look toward the future of radiation oncology, we need you. We call on ACRO members - and all radiation oncologists nationwide - to consider making a tax-deductible gift to the Dr. Luther Brady Foundation today. Your support not only honors Dr. Brady’s memory, it invests in the future of our profession, and in the countless patients whose lives will be touched by the physicians we help train.

Thank you for your generosity, your commitment, and your trust.

With gratitude and hope,

Steven E. Finkelstein, MD, FACRO

President, Dr. Luther Brady Foundation
