New Practitioners & ACRO

 

Within the first eight years post-residency, you face unique challenges during your transition as a junior attending. Membership as an ACRO New Practitioner helps equip you with the information, guidance, and mentorship you need to make your transition a successful one.

 

ACRO New Practitioner Member Benefits:

  • Opportunity to serve in leadership roles within ACRO, including on our existing new practitioner committee or many other committees within ACRO.
  • Several didactics at the annual meeting to foster your professional development.
  • Access to resources for maintenance of certification (MOC)
  • Opportunities for networking and advice from more experienced practitioners.
  • Annual opportunity to apply for ACRO seed grants for new practitioners’ research projects.
  • Complimentary registration to participate in the ACRO business basics webinar lecture series designed to enhance your understanding of billing and coding compliance issues as it relates to your current practice.
  • Free participation at the annual new practitioner forum designed to give you one on one time with experts in the academic and private practice setting to answer your questions about successful practice building.
  • Opportunity to be designated as an American Medical Association (AMA) young physician representative opportunity to maintain your board certification status by participating in CME and SAMs.


Dues:

Early Career: $100 Year 1, $350 Year 2 - Those physicians that have recently completed training and are in the first two years of practice post-residency. Early Career Physicians are considered Active Members of the organization.

New Practitioner: $495 - Those physicians that are new to the practice of Radiation Oncology and are in their 3rd, 4th, and 5th years post-residency. New Practitioners are considered Active Members of the organization.
