ACRO hosted a webinar on May 1, 2026, focused on the implementation of new radiation therapy code sets and the challenges practices are experiencing in 2026.

During the discussion, members of ACRO’s Government Relations and Economics Committee were joined by Ron DiGiaimo and Teri Bedard of RCCS to review key updates and share real-world insights.

The panel provided an overview of the new treatment delivery code structure, including updated definitions, billing considerations, and documentation requirements. They also discussed variability in how payers and state programs are adopting the new codes, as well as the operational and reimbursement challenges practices are encountering.

ACRO leaders also outlined ongoing advocacy efforts with CMS, commercial payers, and state Medicaid programs, and encouraged members to share their experiences to help inform continued outreach.
