Last week, ACRO submitted formal comments to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) concerning the Radiation Oncology (RO) Model. ACRO, led by the Board of Chancellors and Government Relations and Economics Committee, has been laser focused in its efforts to ensure that any alternative payment model provides ongoing access to high-quality, state-of-the-art comprehensive Radiation Oncology services for patients across the United States. We are proud of the work we have done over the years to champion the interests of our members and patients on this complex issue. We look forward to continuing to work with CMS to find the right framework that will ensure quality radiation medicine services can be provided by our specialty to every Medicare patient. We would encourage our members to provide additional comments to CMS from your institutions and practices.
