As we approach Thanksgiving, I find myself reflecting on the unique privilege we share as radiation oncologists. In a field that is often demanding and complex, we are given the opportunity every day to offer hope and healing to patients in their most vulnerable moments.
This year, I am particularly grateful for the "ACRO Family." Whether we are navigating the changing landscape of healthcare or simply sharing clinical advice, the support within this organization is unmatched.
I will be spending this Thanksgiving on call, so I want to send a special message to those of you who are joining me in the clinic or hospital this week. Cancer does not take a holiday, and neither does our dedication. Thank you for being there for our patients.
I am already looking forward to seeing everyone in Orlando this February for the 2026 ACRO Summit. It will be a wonderful time to reconnect in person and celebrate the strength of this community.
For those off duty, I hope you find time to disconnect, recharge, and enjoy the company of your loved ones.
Happy Thanksgiving,
-Brian E. Lally, MD, FACRO
2025/26 ACRO President
